![]() What I find very odd is that this problem has existed for me across three different cards (recently a 2070 and now a 3080) and probably hundreds of drivers. I set it to 'full-screen videos', and the problem goes away with zero effect on anything else as far as I have seen. cpl, and at the bottom where it has 'Content type reported to the display' you have to change it to anything other than auto. All you have to do is to go to 'adjust desktop color settings' in the Nvidia. Obviously it isn't a crash, and nothing will show up on any log or crash report. It never happens during a game, so for the longest time I just ignored it - but eventually I did wonder what the hell was going on. The output signal drops for just over a second, and mimics perfectly the behaviour a person would see when you have a GPU driver crash or a quick overload of HDMI bandwidth. It triggers when moving a tab, or resizing a video popup, or moving/sizing a video player, or basically interacting with any kind of frame that has anything to do with any kind of media. The glitch mostly happens in Firefox, but most certainly happens across many desktop apps - especially anything related to playing video. Still, I have been plagued by this bug across three different Nvidia cards and dozens of drivers, and I was amazed when I stumbled onto the fix that I haven't seen this mentioned in recent times. I guess this isn't a new issue, and it isn't a new fix. This is the exception not the norm and only applies on very small number of cases.
